Wushu defines as a Chinese martial arts. Translated literally as (Wu)Martial (Shu)Arts.
Still confused? Think Jet Li a celebrity wushu practitioner.
So which style is your favorite?

How many kinds?!!! there are hundreds of styles in traditional wushu. But if you are just talking about contemporary wushu its lesser but still a lot of style. Ordinarily there's no level in wushu, they will mostly teach you another form once you completely master one. Mastery take years, its different from just memorizing the movement, as memorizing the form will only take weeks, mastering it means you have to execute it properly and stuff. Choosing a discipline is like choosing a cola, some like coca cola, some like pepsi cola, some dr pepper. So its really depend on the person interested on which style he likes to learn most.

if warf cant live without cola, i cant live without iced tea. anyway, how many kinds are there in wushu and how many levels? how will someone determine their level and how someone choose what disicipline is appropriate for them?

... I wanted to join the dark side after hearing him speaking ...
inkmidya Posted - 10/30/2006 : 07:45:12
"Remember, a Jedi's strength flows from the Force. But beware. Anger, fear, aggression. The dark side are they. Once you start down the dark path, forever will it dominate your destiny. Luke... Luke... do not... do not underestimate the powers of the Emperor or suffer your father's fate you will. Luke, when gone am I... the last of the Jedi will you be. Luke, the Force runs strong in your family. Pass on what you have learned, Luke. There is... another... Sky... walker. "
