i see. what i watched this weekend was a nat geo special about mt. pinatubo erruption.
i experienced it when i was in grade school. weird and scary memory. |

it was a volcano, and no one thought it was, thought it was just a mountain. it errupted june 15, back 1991. considered as one of the biggest volcano eruption for the 20th century..
it wasnt expected for it has been sleeping for over five centuries.
the whole country, including the south china sea was covered from the satellite view cause of dust and sulfur it released. say, it reached the strathospere. and when it errupted, a typhoon was actually in the philippines too, that's why, the whole country, even its neighboring countries experienced dust and lahar. see, its 11 am that day and its seems night. everywhere is dark.
though the devastation where only within the towns and provinces near the volcano and other parts of the country experience dust rains, it was still an experience that is hard to forget. |
